God is indeed interested in you as an individual. He loves you and has a master plan for your life. That plan can and should be discovered because God wants to reveal His will to you. He does still speak to people today and He wants to speak to you. Clearly God does indeed guide, He does speak. Sometimes, that is at church but other times, God speaks through the Bible and His Word. God doesn't not play hide and seek. He wants to lead you even more than you want to be led. God is more concerned about keeping you in His will than you are to be kept in it. God's way becomes plain when we start walking it. You can confide in God and He will reveal His will to you. The Bible promises that as followers of Jesus, we are like sheep following our shepherd. Listen to what Jesus said “A shepherd enters through the gate the sheep hears his voice and comes to Him- they follow him because they recognize his voice (John 10:2-4). You can rest on the promise that as Jesus followers you recognize his voice. God wants you to follow the direction He has already given in scripture.
Every believer is called upon by Jesus Himself to take the message to a lost and dying world. You don't need to have an advanced theological degree to share your faith. You must remember that you are not responsible for how a person responds. Your job is merely to share. It is the Holy Spirit who ultimately works in people’s hearts. You can't make someone a Christian. You share your faith and God does the rest. “If you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. But you must do this in a gentle and respectful way ( 1 Peter 3:15-16). A personal testimony is your story of how you came to know Jesus Christ. Every believer, including you, has a personal testimony. The purpose of testimony is essentially to give the gospel without getting into a person's face. You are telling your own story of how you came to faith and in doing so, you are sharing the feelings and first impressions and questions you had which may be the very one the person you are speaking to is having.
Tell others what God gave up for you. You also need to be tactful when you share. Tact is the intuitive way, seemingly unchanged. Maybe you'll never see them again. We say that you have planted a seed that perhaps someone else will be able to water and make grow. There will be others whom you will have the awesome privilege of joining as they walk into Christ's Kingdom. You need to be ready to take on a commitment to help that person grow in Christ. Of course, you'll be growing together but you can share what you learn with him or her. In fact, no believer is totally mature until he or she gets to heaven. We are all works in process; we are all learning from God and from each other. To disciple someone means to live out your faith to teach it, buy our word and model it by your example. To the best of your ability, you help other new believers get on their feet and become more mature spiritually. You may never reach thousands but you can always reach one And who knows what God will do with that one person to change the world.
